CheckMatter Terms of Service

These terms govern access to checkmatter.com, its calculators, guides, and related features.

Last updated and reviewed: 1 September 2026.

Acceptance and eligibility

By accessing or using CheckMatter, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site. You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms, or use the site with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

Educational service

CheckMatter provides free calculators and practical guides for general informational and educational purposes. Outputs are estimates based on the inputs, formulas, assumptions, rounding rules, and sources stated on each page.

No professional relationship

Use of the site does not create an adviser-client, accountant-client, lawyer-client, doctor-patient, lender-borrower, fiduciary, or other professional relationship. CheckMatter does not provide personalized financial, investment, tax, legal, medical, credit, or insurance advice.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for checking inputs and interpreting results. Before a material decision, verify the applicable rate, law, deadline, contract, eligibility rule, clinical guidance, and result with an authoritative source or appropriately qualified professional. Review the page-specific methodology, limitations, sources, and the full Calculator Disclaimer.

Acceptable use

You may use CheckMatter for lawful personal, educational, and ordinary business purposes. You must not:

  • interfere with, overload, bypass, probe, or damage the site or its security;
  • use automated requests in a way that materially disrupts service or ignores published access controls;
  • copy, republish, frame, or commercially exploit substantial site content without permission or a lawful exception;
  • misrepresent CheckMatter output as an official quote, approval, diagnosis, filing, legal determination, or guaranteed result;
  • use the site to violate law, infringe rights, distribute malware, or facilitate fraud or abuse.

Intellectual property

The CheckMatter name, original page design, explanatory content, calculator implementation, and site materials are owned by CheckMatter or used under licence. These Terms grant a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the public site; they do not transfer ownership.

Feedback and corrections

If you submit feedback or a correction, you allow CheckMatter to use it to investigate and improve the site without an obligation to compensate you. Do not submit confidential or third-party personal information. Verified errors are handled under the Corrections Policy.

Third-party services, links, and advertising

The site may use or link to third-party hosting, analytics, advertising, data, government, research, or other services. External providers control their own content, availability, prices, eligibility, security, and privacy practices. A link, citation, or advertisement does not by itself constitute CheckMatter’s endorsement. Advertising does not alter calculator formulas or editorial conclusions.

Availability and changes

We may correct, update, suspend, or discontinue any page or feature and may change these Terms. We do not promise uninterrupted access, permanent availability, or that every source, rate, rule, or browser will remain compatible.

No warranties

To the extent permitted by law, the site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, uninterrupted access, or error-free operation.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, CheckMatter and its owner, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss, or for lost profit, revenue, data, opportunity, or goodwill arising from use of or inability to use the site. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful misuse of the site, infringement of another person’s rights, or material breach of these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without limiting mandatory consumer or privacy rights that apply where you live. Before formal proceedings, the parties should make a reasonable effort to resolve a dispute by contacting one another.

Severability and contact

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and referenced site policies, form the agreement governing site use.

Questions about these Terms can be sent to contact@checkmatter.com or through the contact page.
