Discount Calculator

Find the sale price after a discount, or work out what percentage discount was applied between two prices — instantly, with no sign-up required.

How Discount Calculation Works

Discount Amount = Original Price × Discount % ÷ 100. Final Price = Original Price − Discount Amount. For example, a ₹2,000 item with a 25% discount has a discount amount of ₹500, making the final sale price ₹1,500.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is a discount amount calculated?

Discount Amount = Original Price × Discount % ÷ 100. The Final Price is then the Original Price minus that discount amount.

How do I find the original price before a discount?

Switch to “Find Discount %” mode and enter both the original price and the sale price. The calculator works out the discount amount and the exact percentage that was applied.

Can I use this for stacked or multiple discounts?

This tool calculates a single discount at a time. For stacked discounts (e.g. 20% off, then an extra 10% off), apply the first discount, take the resulting price, and run it through the calculator again with the second discount percentage.

Does this calculator include sales tax or GST?

No, this tool calculates the discount only. If you also need to add tax after discounting, try our GST Calculator or Percentage Calculator on the resulting sale price.

How do I calculate the discount percentage from two prices?

Use the “Find Discount %” tab, enter the original price and the sale price, and the calculator instantly shows the discount amount and the percentage discount applied.
